Occasionally, we must acknowledge, sometimes in anger, sometimes with raising eyebrows: again, someone has died. Someone, who should have stayed longer. But the one truly valued, never fades away. That door opens when we finish our work we have been sent down for.<\/p>\n
Right now, he returns once again, holding a torch in front of us, when he finally leaves the stage of life. He is being summoned by the Divine director. He was the light on the sky of culture. We lost a part of the Hungarian culture heritage of Oradea, as world-wide, many mourned the death of the artist from Oradea. More often we hear sad news, and more often tears are flowing when we realize that another great personality reaches the end of his path and kneels before the Lord. Many are important figures, who have been in the service of culture, reputation and spiritual enrichment of Oradea.<\/p>\n
I remember a quote from Latinovits Zolt\u00e1n regarding Vilmos Varga’s art: “The actor is a very complex man. He hides within many inner men and many genders, burns more intensely and fully lives a life. His job requires constant flame, thinking and a rich emotional world.”<\/p>\n
Vilmos Varga\u2019s representative feature was sophistication. He was an exceptional poetry interpreter, an exceptional actor. He provided memorable moments for those who cherished his roles and his performances on stage. He was a man of past times, a fine observer of life: with smile and anger, but irony and merriment.<\/p>\n
He was so extraordinary, that in my opinion, he had never really stood in that imaginary line.<\/p>\n
He was honest. Those who were present in the audience at his performances left the theatre with the impression of meeting a great artist at a sophisticated encounter. These were exquisite moments, deserving a more profound debate. He had a frisky smile or a brief thought for everyone.<\/p>\n
Vilmos Varga was loved by many.<\/p>\n

I was honoured because he accepted my invitations several times and we managed to share the same stage at my concerts. These performances were backed by many discussions from which I had always learned something that had an eternal value.<\/p>\n
Do younger generations admit that, Great Artists leave us every day, those remarkable personalities from whom we can learn so we will be worthy of carrying on their work, of following their footsteps on the road of spirituality and of joining them with honour when the time comes?<\/p>\n
Let us say farewell with bowed heads and grateful devotion that will join him along the way!
