“Strauss’s world…and beyond!”
As Vienna and waltz, Vienna and the Strauss family are also inseparable from each other.
We relate the story of a boy who through persistence, diligence and his vision, already during his lifetimesits on an imaginary throne! Music is a language – a language that can be used very well in today’s world. The basis of the language of music is constituted by a special, black and white ABC, and the same set based on 12 tones is used by each and every composer. Only the form changes in which music appears through an individual life circumstances. It can be said that the decoration, the stories are identical, only the characters change in what follows.
This production is a show that is different from the regular musical events by the fact that the public may listen and enjoy not only musical works related to the usual “theme”.
Johann Strauss Jr.’s life is very interesting, but there are just a few who actually know it. The presenter presents the life of the respective composer in an interactive way, different interesting things concerning the circumstances of birth of the works that will resound, adding an extra touch to the performance by using historical facts, through presenting the world of the contemporary halls, besides presenting the associated era, contemporary stories, historical parallelisms, but also through the related gossips. He often engages organically his audience even during the show, which always arises good mood of those present at the performace.
Thurzó Zoltán created a new genre that became his emblem. Certainly, it is an extra that requires preparation that is completely different from the ‘traditional` individual concerts. At his concerts he wants to bring music closer to his audience not only through his performance, but also the captivating and colourful stories of musical history.
Inter alia, Strauss created the so-called dance operetta, with the dance music carrying the entire theatrical act. From the series of simple dances composed by the forerunners he has managed to develop a superior form of waltz. Dance effused from his music as a butterfly, as sun lights from a heavy atmosphere. Strauss was a brilliant young artist, with inexhaustible energy and musical creation, and the entire imperial capital was at his feet.
